Abstract
Un rinvenimento di Harpactoxanthopsis bittneri (Lőrenthey, 1898) dell’Eocene medio (Luteziano) di Breonio (Verona, Italia nordorientale) rappresenta l’opportunità di descrivere la specie in dettaglio. L’individuo conserva il carapace, il chelipede sinistro e parti dei pereiopodi e dell’addome; nel giacimento era associato ad Harpactocarcinus e altri crostacei. La specie è per la prima volta segnalata in Italia.

Harpactoxanthopsis bittneri (Lőrenthey, 1898) from the Eocene of Breonio (Verona, NE Italy). First report for Italy and review of the species.
A specimen of Harpactoxanthopsis bittneri (Lőrenthey, 1898) from the Middle Eocene (Lutetian) of Breonio (Verona, northeastern Italy) offers the opportunity to describe the species in detail. The individual retains the carapace, the left cheliped and parts of the pereiopods and abdomen; in the deposit it was associated with Harpactocarcinus and other crustaceans. The species is reported for the first time in Italy
