From 1994 the museum publishes a periodical scientific journal, Studi e Ricerche, as well as a series of monographs and articles of a naturalistic or archaeological interest.
Each year the Editorial Committee evaluates the publication of original contributions of high scientific value. Unpublished works in the field of natural sciences and archaeology are considered for publication, with preference for those pertinent to the Veneto region and in particular the area of Vicenza.
A maximum of 2 articles per Author/Co-Author will be considered for publication. The papers are first evaluated by the Editorial Board of the Journal, which submits them to peer review by external experts. Articles that do not respect the relevance of the journal or are clearly far from the quality standards of the Journal, may be directly rejected by the Editorial Board. The publication does not involve any cost for the Authors.

abstract = {I suoli recenti delle Fosse di Novale (Vicenza) contengono cristalli detritici di granato insieme ad altri minerali di origine magmatica e metamorfica (es. zircone, topazio, corindone, berillo, ilmenite e clinopirosseno). La microanalisi su granuli millimetrici di colore variabile da rosa a rosso scuro ha rivelato due tipi di composizione, una ricca in almandino (granati rosa) e una ricca in piropo (granati rosso scuro). Le concentrazioni degli elementi in traccia indicano che i granati analizzati sono impoveriti in terre rare leggere (LREE), mentre sono variabilmente arricchiti in terre rare pesanti (HREE), in funzione del differente colore. In termini di elementi maggiori e di andamenti tipici degli elementi in tracce, ciò significa che i granati rossi ricchi in piropo hanno composizione simile a quella di granati contenuti in rocce di origine mantellica (es., peridotiti/pirosseniti a granato o eclogiti), mentre i granati rosa ricchi in almandino sono più simili ai granati contenuti in rocce metamorfiche di origine crostale (es., gneiss e scisti). I granati rossi potrebbero essere stati trasportati, dalle profondità del mantello alla superficie, dai basalti alcalini Terziari della Provincia Vulcanica Veneta che contengono anche megacristalli di zircone e inclusi di peridotite a spinello. Per quanto riguarda i granati rosa, la sorgente andrebbe ricercata nella crosta attraversata dagli stessi basalti.},
