From 1994 the museum publishes a periodical scientific journal, Studi e Ricerche, as well as a series of monographs and articles of a naturalistic or archaeological interest.
Each year the Editorial Committee evaluates the publication of original contributions of high scientific value. Unpublished works in the field of natural sciences and archaeology are considered for publication, with preference for those pertinent to the Veneto region and in particular the area of Vicenza.
A maximum of 2 articles per Author/Co-Author will be considered for publication. The papers are first evaluated by the Editorial Board of the Journal, which submits them to peer review by external experts. Articles that do not respect the relevance of the journal or are clearly far from the quality standards of the Journal, may be directly rejected by the Editorial Board. The publication does not involve any cost for the Authors.

abstract = {Noduli ultramafici e megacristalli centimetrici di pirosseno vengono segnalati per la prima volta in una colata di basalto olivinico affiorante nelle colline di Marostica, in prossimità di contrada Salbeghi, in comune di Salcedo, ad est di Calvene (Vicenza). I noduli a paragenesi peridotitica, costituiti da olivina, pirosseno rombico, pirosseno monoclino e spinello, hanno caratteristiche tessiturali e compositive simili a quelle dei noduli di mantello descritti in varie località della Provincia Vulcanica Veneta. I minerali della peridotite si sono riequilibrati intorno ai 950°C e potevano essere stabili fino a circa 1,7±0,04 GPa, corrispondenti a circa 50 km di profondità, prima di essere inclusi nel magma ospite che li ha portati in superficie. Altri tipi di noduli ultramafici a tessitura cumulitica (es. clinopirosseniti) contenuti nel basalto mostrano invece composizione chimica differente: probabilmente si sono formati in una camera magmatica meno profonda, in prossimità del limite crosta-mantello. I megacristalli di pirosseno monoclino hanno composizione augitica, talora con sovracrescite di titanaugite che indicano relazioni genetiche relativamente complesse con il magma ospite.},
